What They Were
The Crypsillah are not created beings. They are not manufactured shadow creatures. They were once alive — conscious, embodied, present in the Vorticlese as fully realized beings. They surrendered to the Gaalgan. That surrender initiated a chain of consequence that could not be reversed. The Solbreth deteriorated. The Aepura could not manifest. When they died, the path to the Eterna was closed. The Madriclese received them by consequence — not by placement, not by punishment, but because consequence is what the mathematics produce and the mathematics do not negotiate. The residue of what they once were is still visible in them. It does not save them.
What They Are Now
Not fully alive. Not fully dead. Void beings carrying the shape and history of the conscious beings they once were — but consumed from within by Gaalgan darkness, their original consciousness gone or negligible. When extracted by Yntaresh and released into the world, what remains is organized around Vanquiesh's will as transmitted through the Umbillicum. They are not her creatures by creation. They are her instruments by extraction. Their touch burns and freezes simultaneously — so cold it becomes hot, so dead it burns with the absence of life itself. They age everything they pass. Rust blooms on metal. Paint cracks in seconds. Time fractures in their wake. Red eyes when manifesting threat or intention.
How They Are Used-Accumulate
Yntaresh releases them from the Madriclese in organized groups of twelve. Because they are pulled from a dimension, they slip naturally into the Vorticlese — and from there they can arrive anywhere across one hundred trillion worlds. She has no control over where they land. They have no control either. She sends them with a single directive and releases them into the cosmic dark. Thousands upon thousands cast outward in pursuit of pages that were never written down. On arrival, they accumulate power that expresses through the physics of whatever world receives them. The twelve who arrived on Earth five hundred years ago discovered immortality and the capacity to possess human bodies — killing the host consciousness completely. They found each other, shed and replaced bodies across five centuries, and formalized as The Order Limited in the early 1980s.
Why Yntaresh Can Extract Them
The Crypsillah were not placed in the Madriclese directly by Gen. They arrived there by consequence. The lock that governs what Gen directly sealed — Vanquiesh — does not apply to what the Madriclese absorbed. Yntaresh, using Vanquiesh's power transmitted through the Umbillicum, extracts beings the Madriclese received — not beings Gen placed. The lock was built for what Gen sealed. Not for what consequence delivered. This distinction is the gap she has been exploiting for three thousand years.
