The Nos System
THE NOS SYSTEM
One of trillions of systems scattered across the Vorticlese, the NOS system holds a distinction that has nothing to do with size and everything to do with proximity. It is the single closest system to Padyrisia — the origin womb of the Twelve Ver — and to the Eterna, the realm before realms where the Ver exist in their true form. This proximity is not incidental. It is architectural. It is the reason the NOS system became the point from which everything else in the Vorticlese emerged.
At the moment of Gen's whisper — a single utterance of knowing will — the Twelve manifested. In a singular, cataclysmic act, in concert and at once, the Twelve expressed the entirety and the whole of the Vorticlese outward from this space. Not partially. Not gradually. Not through process or evolution or creation as thought. Complete. Whole. Simultaneous. A knowing collective will expressed in one moment from one point, and everything that exists across one hundred trillion worlds emerged from it entire.
This is the significance of the NOS system. It is not the first in a sequence. It is the space from which the singular expansion of everything occurred. The womb of all systems — not metaphorically, but as a matter of cosmological architecture.
The NOS system exists in its own dimension. It carries no address that can be charted by telescopes pointed at the visible sky. It is not located within any star system observable from Earth. The NOS exists in another dimension entirely.
The system contains eight worlds. Seven of them host the gates — dimensional thresholds that manifested on Christmas morning when Aristotle Confucius Blume read words from the Book of the Eterna he did not understand. The eighth is Calebrisis, home of the Talizel, the oldest Pruori order still standing. Each world orbits within its own gravitational context, some in calm stability, others in chaos. From the surface of any world within the NOS system, the other worlds appear as planetary bodies of light — bright points moving against the fixed star field, trackable by their motion and the quality of their glow, but not visible as surfaces or geography to the naked eye. What is felt profoundly — gravitational pull, tidal influence, atmospheric pressure — is present as force, not as image.
Padyrisia exists in closest proximity to the NOS system, but it is invisible to every being within it except the Ver. It is not hidden by distance or by darkness. It is hidden by nature — perceptible only to those whose nature allows perception of it. Every being in the NOS system moves through its proximity to the origin of everything without any awareness that it is there.
The eight worlds of the NOS system are distinct in character and purpose. Calebrisis is home to the Talizel, the oldest Pruori order still standing, a world of ancient knowledge and carefully preserved tradition. The remaining seven worlds each host a gate — dimensional thresholds that test the virtues required to pass through them. Mirrori is a purple desert world of deceptive distances and open desolation. Quilell is cold and barren, hidden deep within permanent cloud. Septem is gravitationally unstable, shaped by the constant pull of six sibling worlds. Fusshen orbits two stars, cycling between extremes of light and dark. Bristling exists within a nine-world configuration of maximum chaos. Lumos is a dying world beneath a dimming star. Depletem is being slowly consumed, stretched and shredded by the star that fills its sky. Each world is harsh. Each world is intentional. Each world holds what it was built to hold.
This is the NOS system. The womb. The origin point. The space from which a whisper became one hundred trillion worlds.
