The Gate Of Order
World
A planet within a nine-world configuration in the NOS system — the most gravitationally complex orbital arrangement in the entire system. Dark. Unstable. Deeply hostile. The ground is fractured and pulled in multiple directions simultaneously, stressed for eons by competing forces. Ancient Pruori temple ruins are visible in the landscape — the only remaining evidence that order once existed here.
Veil
The unexpected opposite of maximum gravitational chaos is perfect geometric stillness. Flat ground. Right angles. Mathematical precision in every surface and angle. The disorientation is profound — the chaos world's veil is so ordered it feels like a trap. Because order imposed without understanding is just a different kind of chaos. Nothing in the veil has grown. Everything has been calculated. The precision is deeply wrong in a way that is difficult to name. Too much order. The kind of order that has never breathed.
Gate
The Gate of Order demands the diminishment of the need for immediate control as the condition of passage. To trust the ancient pattern over instinctive reaction — to wait for the mathematics to correct themselves rather than forcing a faster solution that creates new chaos — is a Solbreth requirement. The gate does not open for the one who has imposed a solution. It opens for the one who has found and trusted the pattern that was already there.
Beings
The Tellevriaan (tel-ev-REE-an). Upon entrance into the veil, they manifest automatically — pure chaos wearing the face of order. They hold the power of full illusion: sight, sound, and sensation. They can make the mind perceive something other than what is there, hear something other than what is there, feel something other than what is there. The geometric precision of the veil itself — its right angles, its flat ground, its calculated surfaces — is their primary instrument. It is all illusion. The only protection is self-knowledge sufficient to reason through what the senses report to the logic underneath.
Challenge
The Tellevriaan stand between the entrance to the veil and the gate itself — and nothing in the veil can be trusted at face value. Every surface, every distance, every apparent certainty is potentially illusion. The gate opens not when the illusions stop, but when the pattern beneath them is found and held against everything the senses insist is true.
