What They Are
Physics Domain
Gravity is not something Baraakuum controls. Baraakuum is gravity. The pull itself. The weight at the center of everything that keeps everything from becoming nothing.
Not a god of heaviness. Not a manager of mass. The force — conscious, present, complete — holding one hundred trillion worlds in their precise geometric positions across the entirety of the Vorticlese. The architecture of every orbit. The reason a planet stays where it is. The reason a star holds its shape. The reason the ground exists to stand on.
Without Baraakuum — not absent, not weakened, but genuinely gone — nothing stays. Not slowly. Immediately. Everything that holds its position stops holding it. The Vorticlese does not drift. It dissolves.
Gravity is the oldest conversation in the universe. The pull between things. The insistence of mass that nothing should be alone.
Baraakuum governs this across every scale simultaneously — from the sub-atomic to the cosmological. The iron core of a root planet and the supercluster of ten thousand galaxies are both within the same domain. Both held. Both anchored. Both sustained by the same conscious force that has never once stopped working.
The Anchor Station sits at the core of the galactic superclusters — the largest structures in the Vorticlese — where the gravitational mathematics are most concentrated and the consequences of absence would be most immediate. This is where Baraakuum is most completely present. Where the pull is most fully itself.
Relativity lives here too. The curvature of space-time around mass. The reason light bends near a star. The reason time moves differently at different depths of a gravitational field. Baraakuum does not calculate this. Baraakuum is the reason it is true.
Origin Emergence
Relationship To Gaalgan
In Padyrisia, before the first world had a name, Gen whispered.
Not a plan. Not a sequence. A single seed of intention that exploded forward into everything simultaneously. The Twelve Ver did not arrive one at a time. They differentiated in that single burst — completely, in parallel, all at once.
Baraakuum was one of those simultaneous expressions.
Gravity did not arrive after the worlds were made to hold them together. The worlds became because Baraakuum became. The pull existed first. The things it would hold differentiated into existence within it. One hundred trillion worlds in their precise geometric positions — that architecture was not assembled. It was the natural consequence of a force that had already expressed itself completely at the moment of the whisper.
The name carries the memory of that moment. Baros — the Greek word for weight — reaching back toward an older frequency. Ka — the Egyptian vital essence, the animating presence within matter. The deep resonance of UUM — the universal hum that matter makes when it has found its place and intends to stay there.
Baraakuum is perhaps the least ambiguous of the Twelve when it comes to self-knowledge.
Gravity is mathematical. Precise. The pull between things follows laws so exact that any deviation — any corruption within the force itself — would express immediately and measurably across one hundred trillion worlds simultaneously. A wrong pull is not subtle. It is not something that builds slowly in inconsequential moments. It would be felt.
When Vanquiesh fell — when the slow accumulation of the Gaalgan within him finally expressed completely — Baraakuum did not plead for mercy from uncertainty. The Great Pillar understood what the others were only beginning to grasp: that a corrupted fundamental force is more dangerous than the absence of that force. That the architecture of everything depends on the pull being true.
Baraakuum voted for containment. Without hesitation. Not without grief — but without hesitation.
And carried within that vote was the unspoken commitment: that if the Gaalgan were ever found within the pull itself — within gravity — Baraakuum would accept encapsulation with the same decisiveness. Because one hundred trillion worlds in their precise geometric positions are worth more than the comfort of any single consciousness.
Even the one holding them there.
